Snowflake Feet! Ewww! (Plus A Green Owl Exclusive!)

It's that time of year where everybody turns into one big giant itchy snowflake. The combination of the dry air outside and the dry heat inside reeks havoc on our skin, especially for our feet. Most ladies would have no problem booking an appointment at the salon for a pedi, but not me. I've only had one pedicure in my life and that was the day before my wedding. It felt good, but I was really grossed out. I am not one for other people's feet. Just knowing the same pair of clippers she was using on me has clipped hundred ( if not thousands) of other people's toe nails. I also wondered how often she cleaned them. We always hear about people getting terrible infections from these places too. I haven't made an appointment since. If you would like to save yourself $30 from going to the salon, finding different ways to take care of the skin on your feet isn't hard. In fact, all of the ingredients are in your kitchen and I'll tell you what to do.

First, you will need:

*A tub or foot bath
*A small towel
* A small bowl
* 3-4 tablespoons of salt or a course sugar (or if you wanna get crazy, use both!)
* 3-4 tablespoons of an oil (ie...Olive oil, Almond oil, Jojoba or Argan oil if you wanna get fancy.)
*1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar (this helps to kill bacteria and odor. This is optional.)
*ONE spray of your favorite perfume or a couple of drops of your favorite essential oil. (This is also optional.)

Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl, making sure the salt/sugar mixture has the texture of wet sand.
Fill foot bath or tub with warm/hot water. Fill it so it's at least past your ankles. Let your feet soak for 10 minutes. **After the 10 minutes, rub your feet and ankles with your salt/sugar scrub. Each foot should get a 2 minute rub. Rinse and dry your feet. Clip claws if necessary.
Ta-Da! Your feet look great! You saved gas, time and money and most importantly, you won't catch some sort of toe jam cootie bug at the salon.

Green Owl now has it's first promo code!

**Please do not do this standing in the shower! You're working with oil and water. Also make sure you clean the tub afterwards, so you don't have to find the next person to use the shower ass over tea kettle naked...Ew.**
